developing reading

Hello,

I m looking for a suitable reading activity for a grade 5 or 6, children aged 10-12.  What kind of books do you suggest and activities to accomplish the reading?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

The soccer story is from a 3rd grade level, but might be suitable for older children with a lower reading level than 5th grade.
Registration for the site is free. Each reading comes with comprehension questions.

Hello Morgana!
Nice to hear from you again.

I highly recommend you look at Readworks. It is free and easy to register, they don t send much "spam", and there s a large library of great reading activities that are easy to access and are usable.

Cheers,
Douglas

Hi Douglas,
Time managing is very difficult when you have a child aged 2, I m here daily but I don t have time to "chat" with the great users we have here. Thanks a lot for the tip.

Lefevre, I also want to thank you for the detailed list. Really useful and it seems that other members also enjoyed it.

Cruiser I have already thanked you yesterday.

Hugs from Portugal.
