I am looking for a free software  to copy one of my dvd. could you  suggest an easy one ?

If you use Apple OS X, you can use Handbrake.
It is free.

It requires a file from another program, VLC, so download both. Both are free and reliable.

1. Install Handbrake -Take care! 32 / 64 bit versions for 32 / 64 bit OS X.
2. Install the latest version of VLC video player software (VLC 2.0  for OS X is fine)

3. Get the extra VLC file - libdvdcss.pkg - from here: http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/libdvdcss/1.2.11/macosx/

4. Install it.

 

That �s it.
You can now make a backup copy of your video.
