Hello people out there. Can you help me please? Is it correct to use the word people in plural as in the following sentence: "Write the names of the original Chilean peoples in the chart". Thanks in advance. |

In this sentence as written, "peoples" would indicate separate sub-groups of people from Chile --- such as separate ethnic minorities or something similar. If you just want to talk about a group of people who are all from Chile -- then you need to use "people" (singular). Hope this helps. |

Yes, ideloresmoore s answer is correct. If you changed it to "people", then the answer would be: "Jorge, Juanita, Alberto, Maria, etc." You definitely want "peoples". Bruce |
