Modal verb "can" or "must" Which is correct ? Which book is a grammar source as a proof?

Which variant is correct? What book can you show as a proof of your right choice?

Children can go to school at the age of 7                     or

Children must go to school at the age of 7.

Thanks in advance.

I don t have a book to cite, but I ll tell you that both are correct, but with different meanings.

"Can" is for ability and possibility.
"Children can go to school at the age of 7" means  that they are able to go, or it is possible for them to go.

"Must" is for necessity.
"Children must go to school at the age of 7" means that it is necessary (by law, most likely) for them to go.
