The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to seaIn a beautiful pea green boat,They took some honey, and plenty of money,Wrapped up in a five pound note. The Owl looked up to the stars above,And sang to a small guitar,O lovely Pussy! O Pussy my love,What a beautiful Pussy you are,You are,You are! What a beautiful Pussy you are! Pussy said to the Owl, "You elegant fowl! How charmingly sweet you sing!O let us be married! too long we have tarried:But what shall we do for a ring?"They sailed away, for a year and a day,To the land where the Bong-Tree growsAnd there in a wood a Piggy-wig stoodWith a ring at the end of his nose,His nose,His nose,With a ring at the end of his nose. Dear Pig, are you willing to sell for one shillingYour ring?" Said the Piggy, "I will."So they took it away, and were married next dayBy the Turkey who lives on the hill. They dined on mince, and slices of quince,Which they ate with a runcible spoon; And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,They danced by the light of the moon,The moon,The moon,They danced by the light of the moon. |

I m not sure how long the Caption Competition needs to wait for entries, but we ve got some great ones and no new ones for a few days, so here goes. I thought it would be easy to choose the best answer but actually it s really hard. I ve laughed at quite a number of them and puzzled over others ;-) I ve also been humming "Who are you?" for the last week and it won t go away (thank you Jayho!). "Hoo Hoo!" indeed! I couldn t fit "The Owl and The Pussycat" into a caption, plus I suspect it may not be an original contribution, so it got disqualified ;-) Sorry about that seansarto! I loved srce s dramatic verse and Catalina s puzzled owl. I’m glad that Marion spotted Fluffy, the starstruck kitty on the far left. He looks like he’s just had an unpleasant surprise, doesn’t he? Chris’s “Well…every family has it’s secrets” made me laugh - that almost pipped the prize.
Thank you all for your contributions - they were great, but in my terribly subjective opinion, this week’s prize goes to Sophia (ueslteacher). Congratulations Sophia! Now it’s your turn to post a picture ;-) |

No problem, Tapioca.. Good reason always stands. You may have to re-post the results on the thread though because they trend to get rolled over and forgotten once off the home page. |
