following sentences using the word(s) in brackets:
1- Are you the bride’s friend? (... of …) Should the answer be: 1. Are you a friend of the bride �s? or 2. Are you a friend of the bride? Thanks a lot. |

Riham, This has something to do with the double genitives (pleonastic genitives) , that is sometimes used in English, Here is some additional info, also. Hope this helps. Giorgi |
