Ideas for topic "International Events", Trinity GESE grade 10
|
Dear colleagues, I m asking for help to gather ideas (not necessarily worksheets) on what to include in the topic "International Events" which is part of the Trinity GESE exam Grade 10 (Level C1). I ve thought of course of Olympic games and the Expo (which was hosted here in Italy last year), but I haven t been able to think of something more than that. What other international events could I include? Thank you for your suggestions! |

International Youth Events like Scout World Jamboree - an international gathering of Scouts and Guides (Girl Scouts) from all over the world every 4 years- this should provide a whole host of ideas. Google = World Scouts Jamboree Japan 2015 |

World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated every year on 5 June to raise global awareness to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet Earth. It is run by the United NationsEnvironment Programme. International Women’s Day, which celebrates and political, social, economic and cultural achievements of women, has come replete with a range of campaigns, protests, doodles and events. The United Nations has a list of World Days and International Days |

Thank you so much for your help! However, when we re talking about "Internationa Events" my guess is that we re not meant to talk about international celebrations but rather about some sort of social gathering (as in sports, for example). Hope that for example women s day might be considered and "international event" .... I d forgotten to say that I teach adults. |
