Hi! Both are correct. But typically you use "yours sincerely" when the recipient of a letter is addressed by name. :) |

Dear Mr Smith END WITH Yours sincerely, (know name of person) Dear Sir/Madam END WITH Yours faithfully, (don �t know the name of the person) |

Yeah. The above answer is correct! A little trick is to think "You can �t be sincere to someone you don �t know by name". |

As Mary �s link tells us, the difference is British. In the US, we use them interchangeably, although "Yours sincerely" is much more common here. Bruce |
