Hi everybody,

 

after a couple of months of hard work I should now like to do some pop songs in class.

My students are 12-13.
I have a really hard time picking songs because these kids aren �t really into the serious themes like love, war, etc. yet. Most songs deal with love, breaking off, broken hearts, - nothing they can really discuss because they are simply too young (and probably not fluent enough).

 

Any idea of lighter themes and song titles? I �d be really happy, especially since I �m not into pop music at all ....

I �ve got 11-12 year old students and we start every new lesson with a song (video in the whiteboard), sometimes they choose it, sometimes me. In order to understand the lyrics, the videos have subtitles in english and spanish or I give them a photocopy.
