Which is right?
|
Kind of confused. Please, Can anyone explain the difference to me ? or are both of them right? - Could you tell me where was your last job? (this is the one I saw ina n interview) - Could you tell me where your last job was? ( Is this right? why or why not?) Apologies for your time and thanks a lot. |

Grammatically, the second option is correct, as it deals with an indirect question / reported question.

I agree with Gi2gi. The second option is correct. The only way I could see the first option being correct is if there were a pause: Can you tell me... Where was your last job? |

In a video about job interview questions they included the first option as one of the many possibilities to deal with. Thanks for your responses. |
