1 to be lonely 2 a kitten 3 to hug 4 to be bizarre/weird/strange 5 to advise 6 retention (that took me as well as my native speaker husband a while though) 7 to hide 8 to have high regards/admiration (if you ask for a noun), to admire/regard highly (if it should be a verb) 9 a binder/folder 10 a canteen

(recall and retention are good) 7. to hide 8.to esteem/hold in esteem. (Admire is not quite it, because you can admire great beauty.) 9. 10. youth hostel |

For "memory" you could also say "a recollection of a moment in the past" (this would be the countable noun "a memory" rather than the uncountable noun "memory" though.) |
