Hello, I m studying Shakespeare, the Elizabethan theatre and Romeo and Juliet with my year 9. I d like them to act , but old English is too difficult to understand and I m looking for a simple book with dialogues . Which ones do you suggest ? Thank you very much for your help! |

hello I did sth similar last year. Google "no fear Shakespeare" for simplified texts. The British Council also had videos but I can t find them right now. These links might be useful, too: https://www.teachingenglish.org.uk/article/william-shakespeare-kids https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVtQxp8i9OM Good luck! |

Hi, some years ago I bought "Playing with plays presents Romeo and Juliet for Kids" edited by Brendan P. Kelso. I think it is easy to perform in small groups because there are some funny interpretations of part of the script (the other lines are actual lines from Shakespeare s script). Have fun! |

Hello! Have you tried the graphic novels!! They are great and it really puts a picture in their heads. They also have different levels of English skill. www.classicalcomics.com |
