lnanguage interference / transfer

hello to everyone ,

could you help me with this task please?
I have to carry a booklet about language interference in English teaching , what I need are practical and efficient solutions to help pupils speak ONLY English in English sessions (even with their peers during lessons). Any suggestions please? How do you deal with this while teaching?
Thanks in advance !

One idea is to set up an imaginary magic line at the threshold to the classroom. (You can tape a wide strip of colored tape in the doorway). When students cross the line and enter the classroom, they enter an English Only zone and have to speak only English.

I did a search on techniques for speaking in the target language and there were many results including this one https://www.actfl.org/sites/default/files/pdfs/TLE_pdf/TLE_Oct12_Article.pdf
