Problem with a sentence

Hi all,

I don t know if the following sentence is correct:
In what ways motivation enhances productivity and autonomy among learners?

If it s not ok, can someone explain why?

Thank you!

You would say In what ways does motivation enhance productivity and autonomy among learners?  You need a verb-does

Yes, you need "does" because the interrogative form is "DOES motivation enhance productivity and autonomy among learners?"

When adding "In what ways" you ask for some more precision and the subject of the verb is still "motivation" which is not an interrogative word.

I agree with maryse peye.

Another way you could say it would be: "How does motivation enhance productivity and autonomy among learners?"

Hi,
I think it all depends on the context...
Is that phrase a part of a longer sentence? If it is an indirect question, for example, if the full sentence begins "We don t know" or "I wonder" or something like that, then t s OK to say "We don t know in what ways motivation enhances..."
Now, if it s the title of an article or the heading of a paragraph I would say "Ways in which motivation  enhances productivity ...
Of course I agree that in normal circumstances this question needs "does"
What is the case?
Thanks

It was fırst there as a part of the longer sentence and I dıdn t mention that, actually I just put a question. After modification it was a question so all the above answers are correct. Thank you for your help!
