Hi my fellow teacher friends,

I am teaching English in France. The kids are going to have their October holidays for 2 weeks next month. During that peiod I will be having an extra curricular English course with middle school students. They will be 11 to 14 years old. The theme is going to be English Around the World. We will study different countries, their cultures, dances, food, music, movies, famous people, and monuments etc.

To make it more authentic I wanted them to see how other classrooms are and how other students are doing in different countries. I am planning on having a skype conversation for 20 to 30 minutes (or more) with other country students. The program will be between the 23rd and 28th of October, and the kids are going to be at school from 9am till 4pm (Eastern Europe Time). Please tell me what you think, and leave your comments or suggestions below. If you are interested for a classroom chit chat and a small cultural exchange experience between your class and mine, please contact me on [email protected]

Hello dear friend
I am very interested in this project I teach in Tunisia .My pupils are aged 13 /14.The problem is we do not have access to internet in our schools .So why not a facebook group and then the pupils make their own reports to their teacher?

Hi smartboutheina,
Unfortuantely I am not their regular English teacher, I will be their teacher for this special week only. So, I won t be giving them homework or reports, and I also cant keep track what they do at home after school hours. I want the students to have an oral communication in class with other students from the world, under my supervision.
