I like sentences which use minimal pairs or triples.
Related to your topic, you could make up sentences with the following groups:
sherry - cherry - Kerry
shoulder - colder
she s - cheese
back - bash - batch
chicken - kitchen
shin - chin
cut - shut
watch - wash - walk (To be healthy, you should not watch too much TV; It s better to go for a walk. It s also important to wash your hands regularly to avoid catching a cold.)
catch - cash
etc.
You can do this as a dictation exercise (pupils listen to teacher) or as a paired dictation between pupils.
You could challenge pupils to write a homework text using as many of the words as possible.
