Help required for correcting sentence

Dear colleagues,

Is this sentence grammatically correct?

He had been searching for a blue balloon that had escaped from his herd.

Many thanks in advance

Yes, it is, but I don t think it can stand alone. It needs a subordinate clause.
He had been searching for a blue balloon that had escaped from his herd when he was abducted by a dead sheep.

I respectfully disagree. The grammar is perfectly fine. I wonder, though, what a herd of animals was doing with a blue balloon in the first place!

Yep, I was being facetious, you shouldn t do it online. Sorry!

I’m writing about a family spectacle for children „Mr.Tenorek”. The balloon had escaped from the balloon herd, therefor the balloon breeder had been searching for it. https://teatrkamienica.pl/pl/spektakle/94/pan-tenorek-i-blekitny-balonik

Thank you so much for your response and help, cunliffe and MoodyMoody

Glutenfree:

"He had been searching for a blue balloon that had escaped from his herd".

In the context of your description, this sentence is fine and is grammatically correct.

Therefore, I am happy to be in agreement with the other Members.
