who or which?

Hello, can you please tell which relative is correct in this sentence: "Your new family will be the one WHO / WHICH can help you in a strange house."? or if both are possible? Thank you |

To my mind it is WHO because we refer to people, WHICH is used for objects Cheers Sylvie |

I would say "that", instead of "who" or "which". If you want to use "who", it would be better to say, "Your new family will be the people who can help you in a strange house." Bruce |
