Defervescence
This is the new WOD. Please, I want to see some silly suggestions circumscribe these syllables sufficiently, by describing a deft, daft, daffy definition. In plain English ... give us an INCORRECT definition of this word ... NOT a correct dictionary definition. It can be funny, or weird, or poetic, or political, or tropical, or topical or �mockable � ... YOU CHOOSE! I will decide the Winner after we have enough entries. Best of luck! Les Douglas

 Very striking, ascincoquinas! I like the picture! With all due respect, however, the TRUE daffynition of defervescence is much more mundane. Defervescence is simply the process of soda becoming flat. Effervescence is the bubbly state of soda, so the opposite is defervescence. |

Once upon a time there was a French political man named Gaston DEFERRE, a liar of course because he was the mayor of the South city of Marseille.
n this city there is 1 specific expression "Vé ! Sans Ce ... ZZZ GRRR TSS GRR de DEFERRE on n �en serait pas là !!!" that we can more or less translate by "By the way without this... ZZZ GRRR TSS GRR de DEFERRE we won �t have known such kinds of things !!!"
So DEFERVESCENCE, in France of course and particularly in Marseille, means that people are anti-Deferre and that they would like to see him resigne IMMEDIATELY ! "Non mais des fois !" (or in English but it is actually less typical "Hey ! Gosh !" in a very polite way...) ;) |
