All of the entries were imaginative and entertaining: a magical word to conjure up a witch, a rough cold vortex that will freeze you at once. However, there can only be one winner.
I have chosen Valodra�s daffynition : Frug / (i) VOR / ous
Frug = a popular dance in Europe, similar to the twist
Vor : ( Internet use ) = Victims Of Recession
Ous = suffix meaning full of
Frugivorous = adjective to describe poor people- from capitalist countries - who cannot stop twisting around in pain�.
Frugivorous actually means fruit eating, analogous to carnivorous meaning meat eating and herbivorous meaning plant eating.
Thanks to all who participated and to everyone who read the post and thought about it, even though it was perhaps too difficult for them to create an entry.
It is games such as this and the caption contest that add levity and fun to this excellent, helpful, and informative site. Wouldn�t you agree?

Oh well �! Thank you ! It WAS a difficult one ! ;-))) I �ve never posted a WOD ; I �ll do my best ! And - to you , Redcamarocruiser , and all our native speakers - ;-))) : it �s one of the best exercises / games to learn English !  ( I �m ashamed to tell you - but it took me a hard work  to find a daffynition !!! ie = frug is THE real definition , & VOR too ;-)))) BTW, frugivorous = frugivore in French ;-))) Val

 RED= ROJO IN SPANISH CAMARO= CAMAR�N IN SPANISH (SHRIMP) OR CAMAR�N THE GREATEST FLAMENCO SINGER EVER CRUISER= THE ONE WHO TRAVELS IN A CRUISE WE SAY "EST� ROJO COMO UN CAMAR�N ( O COMO UN CANGREJO)" meaning that person got a sunburn. SO, WHOEVER TRAVELS IN A CRUISE AND GETS SUNBURN LIKE A SHRIMP AND LISTENS TO FLAMENCO IS A �REDCAMAROCRUISER � , I MEAN ALL THE TOURIST COMING TO SPAIN !

If the cap fits, wear it and that describes me exactly! It is uncannily accurate! When I got off the cruise ship at Cartagena, it wasn �t too sunny. By midday, it was scorchio, in November, mind! I didn �t expect that, so no sun cream, no hat. I am now as red as a shrimp:-( And we had a some flamenco dancers on board in the evening. Lynne |

Welcome back Lynne! You were missed.
Aisha, I really liked your daffynition of redcamarocruiser.
The origin of it is me cruising the internet in search of information for my online friends. I am a cybrarian (librarian in cyberspace) in addition to being TEFL certified and a library media specialist (school librarian). Why cruise the net in a red Camaro? Because I wanted to cruise in style. |
