The winner of the WOD daffynition contest of 1/22/2019 is  MoodyMoody

"Obviously this means to hit someone upside the head with a beer stein in a bar fight.
Mug: drinking vessel with a handle
Wump: variant of whomp, or hit"
This is a very plausible definition. All the daffynitions made me laugh, but there can be only one winner, so I cant be a mugwump and not choose sides.

The dictionary result for mugwump is

/ˈməɡˌwəmp/
noun
NORTH AMERICAN
  1. a person who remains aloof or independent, especially from party politics. (google)
A mugwump is someone, especially in politics, who sits on the fence. Mugwumps dont commit to one side or the other. (vocabulary.com)

ThANKS TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED! Over to you, MoodyMoody !

Yes, Ive heard it said that a Mugwump is a person who sits with his mug on one side of the fence and his wump on the other.
