Where should the period be placed in this sentence. I don�t understand the highlighted part.

Part of our history which is burning ...
 
But let�s keep the faith some cathedrals have been destroyed in the past (Reims, Nantes) and rebuilt.
 
I�m sure it will be the case with Notre Dame.

Terrible news. I�m not a religious person but I do love old churches and temples and Notre Dame is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever seen.
