Hi. Are there 2-syllable adjectives ending in y but don�t take the ier in comparative. I found shy/shyer/the shyest But it is a 1-syllable adjectives. Thanks for your help

For that to happen, there would have to be a vowel before the y, and I can�t think of a 2-syllable adjective that ends in -Vy, so I don�t think there is one.

I looked for exceptions to the rule and found none, in agreement with Bruce. 

https://www.enchantedlearning.com/grammar/partsofspeech/adjectives/comparatives.shtml  shows the rules for building comparatives. For two syllable adjectives one can usually use �more�. Healthy can be healthier or more healthy.
