Some and any

Hi dear teachers :)

I was wondering if you could help me with a little doubt I have...? I m going to talk about "some" and "any" and the words linked with this, like somebody, someone, anyone, anybody...
I know that some is used in affirmative sentences and any in negative and questions, but suddenly I felt very insecure about the difference between somebody and someone and anyone and anybody. Is there a specific case when we should use one and another?
I m sorry to be so boring but can you please tell me what are the worksheets that I should use with my students?

Thank you so much.

Kisses :)

Dear,

Don t you think that this "
you had better " is somehow uncalled for.
I would have said something like "Why don t you.../ Don t you think it would be better.../ or any expression of the sort".

Regards and respect anyway

I appreciate your replies and forgive me for insisting, but what I really want is to know if there is a real difference between the two words: someone, somebody.
 goodnesses

Hello:

As an American with English as my first language, I feel that any word that ends in -body (somebody, anybody) appears more casual than the term ending in -one (someone, anyone).  Just a feeling, though.

Sorry I can t be more precise.

Yours,
zoemorosini

to quote from Swan:

548 somebody, someone, anybody, anyone etc

1 -body and -one
There is no significant difference between somebody and someone, anybody
and anyone, everybody and everyone or nobody and no one. The -one forms are
more common in writing; the -body forms are more frequent in speech in
British English.

AB
