I was going to suggest Project Gutenberg. There aren´t that many other legal sites that I am aware of.
But Murielle beat me to the punch!
A couple of titles you can get from there are:
Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen
The Happy Prince, and Other Tales by Oscar Wilde
Modern Short Stories: A Book for High Schools by Stacy Aumonier et al.
If you do a search with Short Stories in the subject field you´ll find others.
Random fact: the site has some works in languages other than English, but not many.
