Hi there, I have this sentence which I have trouble with putting it into passive: "I love people giving me flowers" Will you help me please? |

How about, "I love being given flowers by people?" I think that should work. |

"I love being given flowers." Using the by-agent in this sentence is unnecessary as it is too obvious. |

"After the dessert had been eaten / was eaten, we went on to drink coffee". or "Having the dessert been eaten, we went on to drink coffee."
These are the options I can think about. Anyway, wait for the answer of other members.

This one doesn�t work too well in the passive, since the dessert isn�t the focus of the sentence, but it would be The dessert having been eaten, we went on to drink coffee. Bruce |
