S.O.S. C1 level

S.O.S. C1 level

Ive been asked to teach on-line C1 level.

I dont think I have ever had this kind of students.  Mine were B1  B2 max.

Who could help me in finding material ?

Who is a C1 specialist ?

Whose account to check?

Thank you for helping me.

Monique

Hi Monique, that sounds interesting. What I have found is the hugely differing levels people put on things. For example, on iSLCollective, downloaders vote on the level of the wss they download and it is rare for two people to agree! Quite often, the same ws is graded form A2 to C1....Just saying!

I found the below link. On here, I like the look of the latest series by Anthoni. He claims they are intermediate but they look advanced to me... They are great wss. I hope you get more answers from people who know!

Hi Monique, some of my materials may be useful for you. As far as other resources go, I am a big fan of Advanced Grammar in Use published by Cambridge as a reference point. I also like using the British Council resources as they go up to C1 and are sensibly levelled. (The listening page is here, for example: https://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/skills/listening/advanced-c1)

Look at this Cambridge link.

Take care of you all !

Hi,

why not follow this link, for example? https://www.cambridgeenglish.org/learning-english/activities-for-learners/?level=proficient&rows=12

Just put a tick next to the proficient level and youll have lots of tasks to do.

Hope you benefit a lot from the site.

Monique,
Do you have to choose a book yourself or has one been already chosen for you? Are students thinking of sitting for an international exam?

They are sitting for an international exam. Is there, or are there any books to prepare for this sort of exam ?

I dont know if you mean this kind of exam, but if you do, here is a link where you can find practice tests and books

Its in Greek so Τεστ Πρακτικής Εξάσκησης 1 means Practice Test
