In the USA we write "Sunday, March 15" or "Sunday, March 15th", or "Sunday, 3/15/09". |

Well, in Australia we put dates dd/mm/yy
so 16/3/2009 0r 16/3/ 09
in Japan they use the same format as the US - mm/dd/yyyy
So it could be: Monday 16 March 2009; Monday, 16th March 2009; Monday the 16th of March, 2009;
depending on the language ability of the class I may use different formats over a teaching period to provide examples of equally correct formats. The correct form is often dictated by cultural habits rather than grammar (which is also a construct)
In Japan they also use a different year designation related to the Emperor s ascension to the throne... so here it would be 16 March of Heisei 21....
