Now, as you can see from Savilla´s comment, it isn´t just the British and Americans who have slight differences in how words are used. Speaking of which, in American English, a SHUFTI is a lid that is placed on top of a frying pan to ensure that the hamburgers are juicier when they are cooked. |

Good morning! I�m glad I saw this and so can help clear some misunderstandings. The drink is indeed shufti but with a double f. The shoes are KSHUFTI where the K is of course not pronounced. Shufti as mentioned here is a shifty smart and shrewd mouse with AI that comes together with modern litter boxes. Anytime the kitten does its business in the litter box, it (the shufti) squeals shuftily. A very effective training tool indeed! |

Dale, I love this word, as well! I love a good shufti at things I shouldn�t be shufti-ing. Well now, the winner is jfaraujo as shufti is a Russian word that is used to describe something that isn�t their cup of tea. I can just imagine Mr Putin having a shufti (a good look)* at Mr Biden and saying �Shufti�. * that�s the real meaning. Lynne |
