chef ( has taught / taught) me how to cook simple Chinese

Hi again. First, please remove the second appearance of this question, so it doesn�t take up room on the forum. Actually, both tenses are grammatically correct, but the simple past works better, because the whole narrative is at a specific time in the past. You would use the present perfect if you were still at that restaurant, and the chef has been teaching you from then until now. Bruce |
