Read Along

Hello friends,
I hope you have a lovely Christmas time...
I just came across and decided to share this new Google tool for encouraging and engaging students in reading aloud: https://readalong.google.com/ I think it can be useful for total beginners (if we choose "Phonics with Kutuki"), as well as for those who are just not confident readers. The virtual assistant listens to your pronunciation and helps with it if needed.

I am definitely going to try it out with my students as soon as possible.

Nice, but does NOT correct many mistakes!

Great - someone has tried it out!
Of course, AI is not perfect (The same as none of the teachers is)!
It is just an idea to use or not to use. As for me, I will give it a try.

Thank you for checking.:) Its always nice to know that something has been helpful to someone.
I have tried ReadAlong out with different groups and individuals and must say that it worked very well with some groups and not so well with others. Some students aged 10-11 were so excited that they kept sending me screenshots showing their progress points throughout the summertime. Not all could use the tool at home, as it works only with Google Chrome.
