A preserver is a person who preserves things, old artefacts etc. It can also be a thing which preserves e.g. a certain type of paint is used to preserve wood. A preservationist is someone who advocates the cause of preservation that is, an activist. They might not actually preserve anything actively, like the preserver does, but they approve of and speak up for preservation. |
