Caption competition in honour of Les

cunliffe

Thank you for your entries, dear friends. It was nice to take a moment and think about the magic of Les, who I was lucky enough to meet. I can tell you - and you already know - he was very special. Sometimes, I look at his old posts and his way with words; his insight and his wisdom; not to mention his incredible, quirky sense of humour, were amazing.

I loved all the captions, but I am not going to choose a winner. I think one competition is enough. A special mention to Maryse for her lovely, warm tribute and Gaza Child for a very well written poem about reading.

Whose caption would I have chosen, if I had chosen? That would be to spinney you a tale.

spin a tale = make up a story.

Have a lovely day.
