Doubts....

Hi dear colleagues! Since I ve been a member just for a week or so, there are certain points I m still in doubt... Today, for example, I came across a worksheet in which the text and some questions (not all the ecercises) had been taken from a coursebook, so I left a comment on it, saying where it had been taken from. And here comes my question.... the other day I was thinking of scanning some pictures from a coursebook so as to create a completely different activity, but... is that cosidered stealing? What about texts for reading comprehension (as the case I mentioned at the beginning), can we use them as long as we create a new task? can we use articles from magazines, newspapers, the net, etc? I don t want to banished from this wonderful land of crazy teachers who can still find the time to make incredible tasks!!!

Hi!

In my opinion, you can scan a picture or  text from other place  always you create your own worksheet. I mean, you only take the material on which your work will be based.

The ideal thing to do is to quote the source. In that way you avoid any possible discussion  regarding copyright.
