Phonetics and Phonology

Hi everyone again!!

I m working this  year as assistant on Phonetics and Phonology, and I have to tech English varieties. The trouble is, that I have plenty of theory, but I don t have audio, material. So, I need audio material on: Irish English, Australian English, New Zealand English, South African English, and if possible any other variety. I would be very glad if you could help me with some material.

Thanks in advance.

Try www.elllo.org because you will find audio files with different accents (Canadian, Irish, American, Australian...) Select www.elllo.org in the search bar in the top right-hand corner and then type a keyword (sports, food, ...)

Hi!
You can try this:

Online pronouncing dictionary - British English pronunciation

http://www.howjsay.com/

Online English dictionary with pronunciation - American English

http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/features/dictionary/dictionaryhome.aspx

Enter the word in the box under "Dictionary > Find", then click on the loudspeaker sign.

Online phonetics resources-link to many links

http://www.unc.edu/~jlsmith/pht-url.html

Here you will find a long list of resources and links to online demonstrations and illustrations of a variety of phonetic phenomena.

I think the last one should be very useful for you!
