Looking for new ideas..Help

Hello everybody,
Dear eslprintables teachers.
This year I am teaching Eng. to 4th grades at my school. They are beginners and this is their first encounter with Eng.We have been studying since September and have taken a good way.Their class teacher wants to prepare a show for Mother s Day which is celebrated in May.In this show we are planning to perform a short Eng.sketch.It may be a well-known story,a fairy tale or smth else.
I have some ideas in my mind but I also want to learn about your ideas.
I am looking for texts or videos. If you know any,I really appreciate this.
I am also thinking of writing a new story so that I can match the roles according to my Ss abilities and characters.
These Ss are so enthusiastic and capable of doing many things.I believe in them and wanna present very impressive show.
Do you have any fresh ideas to share with me??
I explained the situation in detail cos I wanted you to have some opinion about the level of my ss.
Thanks in advance.

I had posted the same URL s  yesterday. But here it goes again. Hope it helps.

I m sure you ll enjoy this following website. It s plays of fables. The kids can even listen to the play while they are learning their lines! (You can download it with realplayer.) I m sure your kids will like it and since it s not complicated it ll be a snap!

You can look through the rest of the sites:
http://www.teachingheart.net/readerstheater.htm

http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/explore/drama.htm

Here you can find a short play. I m sure it ll go well with Turkish students.

Well there are several other plays on the following sites. You need some time to go through them all.

I guess it wouldn t be a good play if you need roles for everybody, but Runaway Bunnyis probably the best simple story about mothers ever written in English!(in my humble opinion) You could have your students read it out loud, and as a group act out the different things the bunny says he will do.
