Graphics for worksheets

I m new to this site and I have a question. How are people making these worksheets? Which graphic programs are you using? Many of them look like they are copied from text books. Is there a secret program that college ESL instructors are in the dark about? Please help because I don t think I can upload any of my "plain and boring" worksheets without getting a tutorial on adding such awesome graphic details.
Thanks in advance,
Janice

Hi! Welcome to this great site! Graphics are created with Word. There are lots of sites in the net that will show you how to use this office application:

Hi Janice,

Welcome to the site.  Try typing "tutorial" into the worksheet (WS) search engine and you will find some excellent tutorials.  Mine were REAL boring at first too, but I think they have improved immensely thanks to the tutorials and discussions here on the forum.  I know you don t have points yet, maybe if you private message some of the tutorial owners they would front you the tutorial (it is good for the whole site and most of them aren t too worried about points).  But it is important that you contribute as well.

Warning:  this site can be addictive

Hi Puglover

We have some incredibly talented people here.
Some of them have written great tutorials on how to make fun and interesting worksheets.

Take a look and practice.  I guess you could call it learning by doing!
Many of the images are free clip arts.
good luck:
