Hi! I m writing a thesis on English borrowings in Polish advertisements. I would like to ask YOU whether in your countries there appear English words in advertising too. If yes, do you like it or not? And how do ordinary people react to anglicisms in ads? Thank you in advance for your help :)
And once again, HAPPY EASTER!!

As eng789 said, it s considered cool among young people. My parents hate it... |

Hi there!
I m from Chile (language= Spanish)and in advertising the words mall, sale, roaming, call center, discount and xx% off are quite popular around here. You can also see words like light (for food or drinks), happy hour and country club. There are more than these but not related to advertising. To be honest, it doesn t bother me but the problem is that we are taking the risk of losing our identity to some extent.
Best of luck with your research project!
Bye bye |
