Hi everybody, I would like to study Animal Farm with my ss using a cartoon which is easier to understand than the book and Im looking for activities. Have got any ideas or sites to share with me?
Thanks a lot to all of you. |

Hi mistick, try www.teachit.co.uk . Its a resource sharing website for secondry teachers in England (so its not an ESL site), but youll find some useful stuff on it, just put animal farm into the search box. You can download for free using Acrobat Reader, put you cant edit the pages unless you join up and pay.
Hope this is useful. |

A quick search trough Google has thrown up the following page http://www.michaelspornanimation.com/splog/?p=1350 which has some classic illustrations from the novel. Not exactly cartoons, but really graphic. By coincidence I read in the Guardian online newspaper today of a German film called The Wave which is about an experiment conducted by an American teacher for one week where he ran his class as a Nazi Regime. A similar tale to Animal Farm. Go to www.guardian.co.uk and search for the wave and read the article - you may get some ideas from this. |

I have just noticed that the address I directed you to is michaelspornanimation Before I get remarks and banned from the forum for life for promoting porn on the internet, please look at the web page and the originator of the page is called Michael Sporn - hence the name. Apologies to Mr Sporn who I am sure has had this pointed out before. |
