Grammar put / place face down
|
Hello teachers,
I hope you all are fine. I have a grammatical doubt, I am not sure if this expression is correct, could you help me??
Students place cards face down on the desk.
Is it correct? Do we have another way of saying it in English?
Thanks,
Rosa |

Hi,
When you are playing cards with numbers or pictures (considered to be "the face" of the card), and you don t want "the faces" to be seen, this would be the correct sentence to say. I hope this helps.
