Hi everyone!
I have this question... How do you call a man who fixes things like washing machines or dishwashers...?
Thanks in advance!

Not a plumber... A plumber can install things that have to do with water but normally a repair man fixes the appliances that are not working.

A repairman--a plumber fixes drains, pipes, toilets, clogged sinks, etc., not appliances.
In the USA, in the seventies, there was a series of commercials about the "Maytag repairman" that never had anything to do. They were commercials promoting the reliability of Maytag appliances.. I think they have tried to bring him back recently, but I m not sure.

The term is a large appliance repairman - last I had to call for one in Canada.
A handyman - will also paint your house or repair your steps. |
