Bug: apostrophes in forum messages and extra spaces being added (sometimes)?

I �ve noticed that sometimes words that use apostrophes (in the forum) end up with an extra space in front of them when posted.
e.g. Words like "I �ve", "don �t" and "Douglas �" (in this topic in case it doesn �t show up this time):

However, sometimes they don �t gain extra space (e.g. "That �s").
It �s not a big bug, but not great for an English/ESL website.
