DEAR TEACHERS!
TODAY WE CELEBRATE THE VICTORY DAY! WE CONMEMORATE THE VICTORY OF THE SOVIET ARMY OVER THE FASHIST TROOPS IN THE II WORLD WAR WHICH WAS OVER IN 1945 ON THE 9TH OF MAY. IN BELARUS WHERE I AM FROM EACH 4TH CITIZEN HAD PERISHED IN THAT WAR. WE ARE GRATEFUL TO THE SOLDIERS AND WORKERS AT HOME FRONT FOR OUR POSSIBILITY TO LIVE AND WORK NOW. LET �S JUST NOT FORGET ABOUT IT.

A great military parade in Moscow and Minsk, dinner parties in families, especially in the ones where the veterans remained. It �s the most important holiday for them. Meetings of the school children with veterans, financial aid to the veterans... and at the end of the day big fire works in all big cities of the former USSR and in the towns-heroes.
