Hello everyone!
I want to prepare "At a restaurant" lesson to my students. Could you share any nice tips with me, please? I am searching for dialogues, games, role-plays etc. Thank you in advance.
Have a nice day. Ivush

Hi! There are lots of worksheets on that topic. Write at the restaurant in the search box and I believe you ll find what you need.

I play a game with my kids that helps their memory and listening skills. I call it "I m Going Camping"/"I m Going Shopping" depending on the lvl I am teaching. What we do is: the first person says the phrase "I m going camping and I m taking a ......." and names an object you would take on a camping trip. Each person after that has to say the phrase+any previous items + a new item. Maybe you could adapt it for your class. Have them say what the order would be. Like: "I m really hungry. I think I ll order a T-Bone steak." BTW, if they can t remember the items they sit out that round. It is a lot of fun. I often play just to work on my memory. lol

Well, I don t know if you have already found what you were looking for, but I found a very simple text that I used once, to make a roleplay. My Ss memorized it and we prepared the classroom to look like a restaurant. Then I filmed them, acting. It was fun. Here s he text:

My students are acting small dialogues at the restaurant that they have written in class, and I let them use a toys kitchen food set to help them act. They love using the rubber chicken, hamburger, eggs...I also have a bow tie for the one who is the waiter. If the students are young (mine are 11-12), it should work!
