Just a short question: is it possible to say "A car will be not bought by John" in "grammatically correct" English?
Thanks in advance!!

well, we rather say"the car will not be bought by john", for the active sentence is"John will  not buy a car"

Hi Jose:
I think that grammatically the sentence is correct, but taking into account when or what we use the passive for, the sentence that source suggests is better, otherwise use the active voice...I hope it helps.

Hi Jose;
First of all, the Passive is NOT the alternative to the Active whatsoever!!!!
In some cases it s advisable to use the passive and in others it is preferable to use the active.
If your example is:
case a.: John will not buy a car. ( The use of the active is much better. / The passive is wrong.)
case b.: John will not buy the car. ( The passive can be used ==> The car won t be bought by John. ( here, the focus is on The thing done (The car won t be bought) and The Doer (John))
