is it ok to upload a worksheet that uses pictures from a comic strip/comic book like calvin and hobbes, not a full comic strip, but perhaps single boxes from a few comic strips?

I am not any kind of authority, but I think it is OK (in fact, wonderful!) as long as it is a good warmer, has exercises related to it, etc. etc. There are many worksheets on this site with some sort of comic stripes, loads of them with the Simpsons or Disney characters, and so on. What is important is your own work to go with it! |
