make or build

Hello all,

what do you think which one is correct : to build a sandcastle or to make a sandcastle. May be they are both good?

Hi silvanija,

We usually say, "Let s build a sand castle." The word "make" would not be considered wrong, but it is not what an adult would say unless talking to a young child. I hope this helps.

Well, as far as I know, both are correct. However, using " build" is more accurate in such a situation.

Yes. both are correct. Build is usually used for construction.  Make is used for crafting/cooking etc.
