Pants is American English, whereas trousers is British. |

That is true - pants is American and trousers is British - but, but, but my dad always said that trousers are also the same as slacks -usually pants with a crease down the front.

Being British, I wear my pants (underwear for men) under my trousers.

In British English pants are underwear = panties. According to my dictionary it �s more colloquial, but I �ve heard it regularly used in my Au-pair families.

Underwear is not only panties. :) I don �t wear panties. Panties are for girls/women.

We have pants and underpants.
And in women �s clothing advertisements I �ve seen:
Ladies � pant. (meaning long trousers) Ugh! Here �s an example.
I just noticed they left out the apostrophe after ladies.
I wonder why the ladies are short of breath? |
