3 Clues Card Game
This is a great game to elicit vocabulary and practice speaking and listening. In small groups, students take turns taking a card at random from a stack and reading aloud the clues, one by one. After each clue, the other students have a chance to guess which word is on the card. The student who guesses correctly gets the card. The student with the most cards at the end wins. (This also works as a simple warm-up at the start of class, in which case the teacher, or maybe a student, reads aloud the clues to everyone to elicit guesses.)
