Cootie catcher
The WS looks "strange" but when downloaded, itīs OK. It is for young learners working in pairs or in groups. They can either sit at their tables or move around the class. After a long summer vacation, they need to refresh their English with simple questions and get to know new classmates. Pupil A chooses a number between one and twelve. Pupil B opens and closes the cootie catcher while counting aloud. Pupil A then chooses a colour. Pupil B lifts the flap corresponding to the colour and reads the question (you can choose to write key words instead of complete questions). This activity works well with instructions too. You can prepare several cootie catchers (with different questions or instructions) for your pupils to swap during the lesson.
